   There are some great lessons in this story to be learned and one of the most important to me is,  that it is never too late to become a better person..

God, clearly forgives us,  so why can't you forgive yourself?
Not trying to be self righteous and preachy here,  but just want all my brothers and sisters to know how much their God loves them and if you ask for it,  you will be forgiven.
